Quick start guide
This section lists all steps which are required to install and configure ConSol CM and the CMRF as a single instance system.
ConSol CM
Please perform the following steps to install ConSol CM.
Mandatory steps:
- Provide the required hardware, middleware and software for the desired ConSol CM version, as specified in the ConSol CM System Requirements.
- Prepare the mailboxes on the email server, see Preparations.
- Prepare the database, see Setting up the database for ConSol CM. Check the database access with the user name and password which ConSol CM should use to access the database.
- Install ConSol CM in the application server, see Installing the application server for ConSol CM. Check that the application server lists the ConSol CM application as “deployed”.
- Set up the ConSol CM application by providing the initial configuration, see Setting up the ConSol CM application. Check that the ConSol CM start page is accessible via web browser.
- If you have installed a demo scene, adapt the scene.
- If you have started with an empty system, you have two options:
- Build your own CM configuration from scratch.
- Import an existing scene.
Optional steps:
- Configure more mailboxes on the Email configuration page of the Web Admin Suite.
- Install and configure CM/Track, see CM/Track. CM/Track must be licensed separately.
- Install and configure CM/Archive, see CM/Archive. CM/Archive must be licensed separately.
- Install and configure CM/Phone, see CM/Phone. CM/Phone must be licensed separately.
CMRF
If you want to use reporting, e.g. with CM/EBIA, you have to install and configure the CMRF (ConSol CM Reporting Framework) and the DWH (Data Warehouse), see Installing and setting up CMRF and DWH.
Mandatory steps:
- Prepare the database, see Setting up the database for CMRF / DWH.
- Install the CMRF, see Installing the CMRF.
- Configure and fill the DWH, see Configuring the DWH.
- Create the required cubes and / or reports, e.g. with CM/EBIA.
