Emails in ConSol CM for communication with contacts and between users. Emails can either be written by the users in the Web Client or sent automatically by the system in specific situations.
This section describes how to configure and manage the email features of the ConSol CM system.
- Email configuration: In the email configuration, the connection to the email server is configured to enable ConSol CM to send and receive emails. In addition, you get an overview about the email addresses used in the system.
- Failed incoming emails: Incoming emails which could not be processed are stored as
.eml
files in thecmas_nimh_archived_mail
table of the ConSol CM database. These emails are managed on the Failed incoming emails page. - Intercepted emails: Outgoing emails which are intercepted before sending on development, test and stage systems. They are saved in the ConSol CM database instead. These emails are managed on the Intercepted emails page.
- Failed outgoing emails: Asynchronous emails which could not be sent are stored in the ConSol CM database. These emails are managed on the Failed outgoing emails page.
- Email certificates: Emails which are sent to ConSol CM and received by ConSol CM can be encrypted using standard S/MIME encryption. Server certificates are used to decrypt incoming emails. Client certificates are used to encrypt outgoing emails.
- Email scripts (on the Scripts page): Scripts of this type are used to configure the email functionalities of ConSol CM. Some of the scripts are part of the default system configuration and have to be adapted to the customer-specific system configuration. You can also add your own scripts.
You can send an email from the Web Admin Suite be clicking the Send email icon in the header, see Structure of the screen.
